Animal Matters To Me feeds voiceless stray animals

In the lockdown , we could see the pain a section of society is facing but what goes unnoticed is the predicament of stray animals. Stray dogs, cats, and cattle live only on whatever they get from the passerby. Now when all humans are locked up in their homes the animals are going hungry. In some places due to the spread of misinformation people are abandoning their domesticated animals due to fear of transmission of COVID-19 from them. The World Organisation for Animal Health later released a statement: “The current spread of COVID-19 is a result of human to human transmission. Therefore, there is no justification in taking measures against companion animals which may compromise their welfare.”     Animal Matters To Me, an NGO established in 2010 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is committed to helping the street dogs and cats who had no-one else to care for them. They run a shelter and a hospital in Malad, Mumbai, and offer services of Adoption, Animal Shelter, Medical Treatment, Sterilisation & Animal Ambulance. There is a misconception in India regarding cats as a sign of omen, black colored specially.   Animals Matter to Me recently fed over 5000+ stray cats. They are also working on a project to build a cageless haven for homeless, abandoned, disabled, disowned, and in-need animals. Spread over 17 acres of land, AMTM Animal Sanctuary in Vitthalwadi, Kolad, Maharashtra will provide all the medical & rehabilitation facilities for the non-vocal living species, be it dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, cows, domestic cattle & wild animals. Shower your support to Animal Matters To Me.
