Lead Kindness Hero Yuva Utkal Foundation

“BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD”

- Mahatma Gandhi

With half of the population under the age of 25, India is home to one fifth of the world's youth.

Former president APJ Abdul Kalam has rightfully said, “This resource of the youth is an important building block for transforming India into a developed nation”. These young minds when put in a transparent platform where they could showcase their aptitude can do wonders.

Yuva Utkal Foundation is a group of optimistic young minds who feel inclined t0 help the needy. Established in 2017, Yuva Utkal Foundation aims to empower the next generation. The non-profit organization consists of about 150 members, all actively contributing in the series of campaigns YUF has come up over a span of 2 years. This small initiative which had started on a social note has now broadened to a strategic social entrepreneurship platform.

The foundation has successfully carried out relief distribution serving an enormous population of 1500 villagers of Bangurba. They have also tied up with Gyan Deep foundation to educate at least 30 underprivileged kids every year. Yuva Utkal team has been frequent in their visits to Madhurmayi Ashram, Jharpada. A group of 62 student volunteers have dedicated their time to the cause of teaching the children of inmates. The members groom these children and provide them basic education free of cost. They proclaim that these children needn’t deserve the same fate as their parents who are serving life sentences or serving tenure in jail, giving them a golden opportunity to blossom into bright individuals.

During the difficult situation of COVID-19 outbreak, Yuva Utkal foundation has launched fundraising campaign and has pleaded the public to join hands with them to distribute mask and sanitizers to the destitute local body. Moreover the foundation has donated almost one and half quintal of rice along with groceries to the orphans of Madurmayi Ashram.

While talking to Nikhil Bhusan Singh, the chairman of YUF India, I came to know that the foundation aims to inspire a movement. Nikhil explains that when their deeds are showcased through social media platforms it inspires the masses to do the same. This will hopefully create a chain of goodwill that with time will transform into a social revolution.

With rising unemployment the buoyant spirits of youth is going to shambles. In times like these Yuva Utkal Foundation is setting the example and is urging the masses to do something worthwhile. This group of youngsters are stepping up and helping the society in every possible way they can. And judging by their spirits, there seems to be no stopping. Showcasing an extraordinary knack for compassion these young folks have set a brilliant paradigm.

We salute unbreakable spirits like these.

WE SALUTE OUR LEAD KINDNESS HERO YUVA UTKAL FOUNDATION
